Zero Waste Journey At San Diego Zoo
How to advance organics diversion at a leading tourist attraction; Zoological park with extensive gardens and foliage seeks to increase recycling of food waste, soiled paper and other organics generated; Facilitated brainstorming session with zoo officials on options that include composting and heat recovery; Tour of zoo’s compost utilization program.

Emissions Control At City Composting Site
Technology and pile management options to control VOC emissions at source separated organics composting facility; Pilot project testing covered composting system is expected to be underway at time of Celebrating Success Tour.
