Green infrastructure to manage storm water and prevent erosion includes use of compost in bioretention soils and as an amendment to improve water infiltration and retain moisture. This workshop taps the experiences of Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon and other communities that pioneered and continue to rely on green infrastructure tools and compost to manage storm water and maintain landscapes. Compost quality, system design and installation, nutrient availability and runoff potential, operating and maintenance requirements and cost, performance evaluation and integrating green infrastructure with built infrastructure will be covered. |
The American Biogas Council and BioCycle present this workshop on the business of anaerobic digestion to guide project developers, investors, regulators, utilities, technology providers and other industry stakeholders about how to design, build and operate successful projects. Realistic public and private sector financing options — and necessary business models to tap those monies — will be covered, along with successful business plans that feature viable feedstock and power and biomethane purchase agreement contracts.
